What are your hours?  7 days a week from sunrise to sunset.

Where are you located? 1405 Greenhill Avenue (one block from the intersection of Greenhill Road and Route 52, Pennsylvania Ave)

Do you have parking?  The parking lot may be used for dropping off and picking up but we ask that you park on the street and take care not to block any of the driveways or the parking lot. We are granted access to the parking lot, but it is part of the Gibraltar Mansion property, not the Marian Coffin Gardens.  Street parking along Greenhill Avenue is best.

Do you have restrooms? No.

Can I bring my dog?  As much as we love our furry friends, no pets are allowed.

What is the admission fee? No fees. Completely free except for professional photo sessions.

What’s currently blooming? The gardens change throughout the seasons.  In the spring, there are native and exotic azaleas, Magnolias, Spanish bluebells, and tulips.  Late spring, there are peonies and iris.  Early summer is roses, lambs ear, water lily, and catmint.  Come summer there are crape myrtles, water lily, Asian lilies, blackberry lily  (Belamcanda chinensis), and gladiolus.  In the fall there are lovely fall colors to enjoy.

Can I visit the Gibraltar mansion? Unfortunately, the mansion is not safe to enter and is off-limits. We do not own the mansion.

How do I volunteer? Please contact Jules Bruck, jbruck@udel.edu for information about volunteering.

How do I donate? There is an onsite donation box and we accept cash and checks.  It is emptied on a regular basis.

I'd like to hold an event at the Garden.  Due to limited resources, including parking, storage, and staff, we are no longer scheduling large events or catered events. If you would like to host a photoshoot, which doesn't require catering, please see below.

I'm a photographer, how do I book a space for a shoot?  Go to https://my.cheddarup.com/collections for details.

Are the gardens handicap accessible? Yes, however, you are outside.  The original stone has wide gaps between each piece that require an extra careful footing.

I have additional questions. Who do I contact? Please send an email to info@preservationde.org or call 302-322-7100.
