Marian Coffin Garden's is excited to offer our new Guided Garden Tours! Our guided tour takes you on a journey through beautifully restored garden 'rooms', highlighting their design, history, and future plans. Tours are $15 per person given by the MCG Garden Manager Liz, Allen.

Announcement Preservation Delaware 2026 Annual Conference and Meeting
PDI to host the 2026 Annual Conference and Meeting on Oct 23rd and 24th. Virtual sessions Oct 23rd and inperson sessions Oct. 24th at Buena Vista, New Castle.
Marian Coffin Garden Guided Group Tours
For the Winter months our weekly tours will go on a hiatus and return next spring, March 2026. If your large group is interested in scheduling a private tour before then, you can schedule with our garden Manager, Liz Allen.
The Marian Coffin Gardens
In the late 1990s, PDI protected the Gibraltar property in Wilmington, and restored the landmark Marian Coffin Gardens. They are now open to the public to enjoy.

Preservation Fund

Primary to the founders’ original vision was the establishment of a preservation revolving fund that would allow PDI to intervene to save threatened properties or to provide funding assistance in the form of small grants or low interest loans for preservation-minded property owners.
